Burnet, Texas is officially recognized by the Texas legislature as the "Bluebonnet Capital of Texas". Each year, during the second weekend of April, Burnet celebrates the blooming of the wildflowers with a Bluebonnet Festival. You'll find lots of unique, one-of-a-kind treasures at hundreds of booths set up by both local and out of town vendors. Lots of great food & crafts. This is a very large event!

You and your Gal friends are invited to

Ride the Rails with the Red Hats

and come celebrate the arrival of spring and the beautiful Texas wildflower season! With our current wet winter and multiple hard freezes, the Bluebonnet predictions are at an all time high! Should make for a beautiful train ride through the Texas Hill Country aboard The Hill Country Flyer with the Austin Steam Train Association (ASTA)!

We have reserved FIVE train cars for Red Hatters! We expect to sell out fast as we have for all of our previous train rides!

We will have over 350 Red Hats on one train! An all time high number for our train trips!! Let's fill up the cars and the town of Burnet and show everyone what Red Hats are all about!!

All adult females are welcome to ride with us! We just ask that they wear appropriate Red Hat attire.

Come join Red Hatters from across the state for fun filled afternoon and evening aboard the Hill Country Flyer at Christmas Time!

Last year we filled 4 train cars full of vivacious Red Hatters!
